04.01.13

04.01.13

First and foremost, He is risen! Happy Easter! I know I'm a day late, but I can't help but to continue to celebrate such a glorious day. Easter is the single most important day of a Christian's year. Without the death, and most importantly, the resurrection of Jesus Christ there would be no hope.

The past week has been hectic to say the least and haven't had the opportunity to post. No excuses.

 Let me get up to date, the only WOD since last Monday was on Friday, when I did CF Open 13.4 which was this:

03.29.13

CFG Open 13.4
7m AMRAP Ladder (3/3, 6/6, 9/9...)
135# "Clean and Jerk" / Toes to Bar.

Score: 88

All in all, I thought I paced this out too much especially on the 6's and 9's. I certainly could have scored quite a bit higher if I had repeated the workout, however, I don't believe in mulligans in competition.

04.01.13

1a. 1 Full Snatch every 20 sec for 4 mins (12 total reps) @ 75% (195#).
      11/12 - Missed my very first rep of series, then hit the next 11.
                       - 3min Rest -
1b. 1 Full Snatch every minute on the minute for 8 mins (8 total reps) @ 85% (220#).
      6/8 - Missed my first two reps, both misses were from mistakes below the knees. Corrected this by slowing my pull from the floor to my knees.

2.Conditioning: 8:56
100 Double Unders
100ft Barbell Overhead Walk (155#)
30 Pull Ups
100ft Barbell Overhead Walk (155#)
30 Pull Ups

100 Double Unders

For His Glory.

 "Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted,
    yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
    and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
    so he did not open his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
    Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
    for the transgression of my people he was punished.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
    and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
    nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
    and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
    and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
    and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
    and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
    and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors." Isaiah 53: 4-12
