SDSPRP. The Swamp Donkey Strength and PR Project.

My name is DJ. I was nicknamed the "Swamp Donkey" by Scooter Ross, a true American.

I believe in Jesus, America and PR's.

It is my hope and goal, for this blog and my training to bring glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without knowing Him and His incredible, saving grace, I would never know true life and what it has to offer. To those who don't know him, seek and find. (Matthew 7:7)

I am incredibly blessed and honored to live in the greatest country in the history of the world - the United States of America. I am thankful for all of the sacrifices of those who have provided for us a way of life nearer to that which God intended for us; of which, we are closer to that vision than anywhere else in the world. Thank you to all of the active, retired and deceased members of the US military and law enforcement; along with firefighters and government officials who sacrifice daily to allow me to enjoy the freedoms that this great country has to offer. I am forever indebted to your sacrifices and strive to honor your names. Never Forgotten.

Finally, PRs. Personal Records. This acronym is defined as doing something better than you have ever done it before. This term was introduced to me in 2009 when I learned about CrossFit at Crossfit East. As my training has evolved, it has come to mean something more that has permeated throughout my entire life. It's my goal to PR at everything in my life, everyday.  The value is found in placing emphasis on recording numbers and having a point to reference. It is extremely important to know where we have been. It allows us to reflect back on what we have done, so if we do not achieve desired results, we can alter our course of action. More importantly, it allows us to appreciate the results of hard work.

In this life, we can never expect to receive benefit from the hard work that we never put in. 

Work hard. All the time. Enough said.
